Gina Wilkinson

 
Gina Wilkinson was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and grew up in both Canada and New Zealand, later receiving formal training as an actor at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, Quebec. For the past 25 years Gina has worked as an actor or director in every major theatre in Canada. Her repertoire includes classical as well as contemporary theatre, directing adaptations of such classic texts as Henry James' , The Turn of the Screw, and Wilkie Collins', The Woman in White. A large part of her theatrical work - and her passion - is devoted to the development of new plays and directing the premieres of these pieces Her own play, My Mother's Feet, premiered at the prestigious Canadian Stage Company in Toronto, where she was subsequently playwright-in-residence for several years. She will be directing her play for the first time when BeMe Theatre presents My Mother's Feet - staged at the Pasinger Fabrik. This BeMe Theatre production marked the European debut of her play.
