Kristen Thomson

Kristen Thomson won Toronto Theatre Dora Awards for her first play, the one-woman performance, I, Claudia, which she created through improvisation with mask and then presented at the Tarragon Theatre, Belfry Theatre, MTC, The Magnetic North Festival, The World Stage Festival and a tour of Hungary. A television movie adaptation was made of the play for which she won 2 Canadian Comedy Awards for performance and writing and a Gemini Award for best performance. A graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada, Kristen is a member of Soulpepper Theatre Company in Toronto and played the lead role in the feature film Away From Her, directed by Sarah Polley. She is currently Tarragon Theatre's playwright-in-residence.
