Becky Johnson
Becky Johnson is a performer, improviser, crafter, writer, instigator and clown from Toronto, Canada. A graduate of the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre and a twenty-year practitioner of improvised theatre and comedy, Ms. Johnson specializes in comedy and non-literary theatre forms. With her two most known improv partnerships, IRON COBRA and The Sufferettes, Ms. Johnson has toured everywhere from Nashville to Ljubljana. Since 2010, most of her touring has been focused on Europe with plans underway for The Sufferettes' biggest European tour to date in 2013. As a shortform improv performer, Ms. Johnson has won competitive titles across North America. She has also toured more experimental, longform and unstructured improv comedy to festivals in Vancouver, Minneapolis, Rochester, Würzburg, Ljubljana, Sarnen (Switzerland) and more as well as serving two years as artistic director of the Catch23 Tournament of Wonders in Toronto. She currently spends two to four months a year travelling, performing and teaching improv in North America and Europe.
