Maggie Blake
Maggie Blake has been acting professionally in Canada for the past 15 years. Theatre work includes: five seasons at The Stratford Festival including the title role in The Diary of Anne Frank, Queen Isabel in Richard II, the Third Witch in Macbeth, Brothers Karamazov, Measure for Measure, Julius Caesar, The Imaginary Invalid, and The Three Musketeers; at the Shaw Festival: Muriel in Ah Wilderness, Harlequinade, Mary Tilford in The Children's Hour, Cavalcade and The Devil's Disciple.
Other theatre work includes Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker and Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden at the Grand Theatre and The Crucible at Manitoba Theatre Centre. Film and television appearances include This is Wonderland (CBC), Emily of New Moon (CBC), You Tell Me (CBC and IFC), The Salem Witch Trials (CBS), and several CBC radio dramas. For BBC Radio she recorded Girlfriend in a Coma last fall.
Maggie Blake holds a B.A. Honours in English Literature and History from Queen's University and an MA in Classical Acting from Central School of Speech and Drama. In 2000, she was named by The Globe and Mail as one of 130 young people who would change Canada.
