Kevin K. James

 
Kevin K. James was born and raised in the little Canadian city of Lethbridge, Alberta. He received his acting training at the prestigious University of Alberta conservatory program. In his 13 years as a professional actor, he has worked on stages and screens from Victoria, British Columbia to Montreal, Quebec, and lived in most places in between; finally, and recently, settling in Vancouver. Aside from acting, Kevin is also an improviser and an accredited fi ght choreographer. Most recently Kevin K. James originated roles in two new Canadian works at Alberta Theatre Projects playRites Festival, the largest festival of new work in Canada. He has toured Macbeth through England and South Africa; appeared in two seasons at The River City Shakespeare Festival; co-produced, co-directed and co-starred in his theatre company‘s (Muttertung Theatre) fi rst production- BASH: the latterday plays…. and received three MECCA awards in the process; played Romeo in productions of Romeo & Juliet at Theatre Calgary and Western Canada Theatre Company; appeared in The Wars at The Vancouver Playhouse; The School For Scandal at The Arts Club Theatre; The Drawer Boy at The Belfry Theatre; Wit, Respectable, and The Aberhart Summer at Alberta Theatre Projects; Sunday Father at The Saidye Bronfman Centre; The Red Priest at The Globe Theatre; The Philadelphia Story at Manitoba Theatre Centre. As a fi ght director he has worked for many of the same companies and festivals as well as doing the fi ghting for the video game Prince of Persia-Sands of Time for Ubisoft. His fi lm and television work includes the mini-series Everest for CBC and the feature fi lms Control Alt Delete, Hockey Mom and Tortured.
