Tony Wadham

 
Tony Wadham was a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain from the age of 14 to 21, performing in many plays across the country. He studied for three years at the Royal Welsh College and on graduation was awarded the final year speech prize, later representing the College at the William Poel Festival at the National Theatre. He spent several years working with the Mappa Mundi Theatre Company, performing in a wide range of Shakespeare plays, and developed a series of independent films with the artist Jon Ratigan. He now resides in London, working in television, film and theatre. On television, Mr. Wadham has appeared in the hit comedy Peepshow and made several appearances in the UK prime time cop show The Bill. His film credits include playing everything from Inspector Rushton in the gothic thriller Puritan to the heroin importer Tony in Conspiracy, both directed by Hadi Hajaig and opposite Starsky & Hutch's David Soul and Nick Moran, the star of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. He recently worked with BAFTA-winning director Asitha Ameresekere on his short film 14, which won Best Film at the Vienna International Short Film Festival and the Grand Prix UIP for Best International Short at the Cork International Film Festival. Selected theatre credits include: Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, Taming of the Shrew, Anthony and Cleopatra, Richard III, Titus Andronicus, Twelfth Night, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.
